The Director General NCPD Dr Mohamed Sheik, is leading a Kenyan delegation invited for training on family planning and reproductive health, in the city of Madiun, Indonesia.
The exchange program which officially commenced today symbolizes the collaboration between Kenya and Indonesia and the shared commitments towards promoting South-South Cooperation in achieving the ICPD25 and the SDG goals.
The Delegation comprises of staff from the NCPD, Ministry of Health, the CEC in charge of health EMBU County and the Director of Health Garissa County are set to learn about the successful Population and Development programme in Indonesia, a country with a population of 230 milllion people.

Kenya is a leader in population and development matters in Africa.These are the sentiments of the Director General at the National Council for Population and Development Dr Mohamed Sheikh, during the opening ceremony for training on family planning and reproductive health, in the city of Madiun, Indonesia.
Speaking during the ongoing training, the DG noted that as a country, Kenya is aware of the critical importance of family planning and reproductive health in the pursuit of a healthier, more prosperous future for its nation.
